Mariah Carey
Mariah has been my favorite singer since the fourth grade. She has nine number-one selling records in the U.S. alone! 3,650,187 copies of her latest album, Emanicpation of Mimi, had been sold by November 1 of this year, making it one of the best-selling albums of the year in the U.S.! Surprisingly, the album's release date was on my birthday this year (April 12). Also, she is considered, one of the best selling female artists of all time. |
Backstreet Boys
The Backstreet Boys have been my favorite group since the junior high! In my opinion, they are the best, and I would be lying if I said that I still didn't worship them! Their last album, Never Gone, has sold over 71 million copies, and counting! They are recognized as the biggest pop group in the world of music today having dominated the charts throughout the world since 1996. |
The Beatles
Who doesn't love the Beatles? Ok, so they're not around making music anymore, but we still know who they were, and those who were teenagers in the sixties remember them. Actually, Paul and Ringo are still living, but they're not making any more music together. I'm not sure about Ringo, but I know that Paul is still making records. More than 20 million copies of the Beatles 1 CD have been sold worldwide within nine weeks of the release date! |
Yellowcard
Yellowcard has become one of my more recent favorites. I don't know a whole lot about them yet, but songs of theirs, such as "Ocean Avenue" and "Only One," have persuaded me to buy their CD. |
